Intentional for 10

What a great invitation from Jesus; one that rings true in our crazy, confused and chaotic world. And His invitation continues: “Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.” (Mt. 11:29; Message)
Jesus’ life plan for us is anything but passive, casual or lackadaisical. In fact He demonstrates it right before our eyes; it’s a laser-focused, purposeful and highly intentional lifestyle that opens our hearts to His power and grace.
Interested in tasting more of the God life before year end?
The leadership of Covenant Church invites you to embrace ten (10) spiritual disciplines that Jesus practiced for ten (10) weeks—we are calling it InTENtional for Ten.
Accordingly, here are my top ten reasons why you should do this!
10) Year End resolutions are better than New Year’s resolutions—isn’t fifty two weeks five times longer than ten weeks?
9) Anybody can do something for 10 weeks.
Jesus invited prospective disciples to come check him out, “Come and see” (John 1:39). Ten weeks gives anyone time to taste the God life and see if His promises are true.
7) Following Jesus intentionally for 10 weeks will improve every relationship in your life.
6) Eternity is a really long time.
5) You have tried to live life lots of other ways and none have worked very well.
4) You know someone who practices these spiritual disciplines, and their life is unexplainable, and you would like an unexplainable life too!
3) Anxiety, fear, bondage and exhaustion are not as satisfying as peace, confidence, freedom and rest.
2) The smartest person who ever lived practiced these ten disciplines.
And the Number 1 reason you should do this…
1) Exercising these ten disciplines will result in Jesus giving you and I the greatest power in the universe, and in turn, the abundant life He promises (John 14:15-17; 23-24).
So there you have it, a ten-week challenge that might change your life forever. You know what they say don’t you? You never know until you try!
Intentionally Yours,
Charlie

The challenge itself takes discipline and I personally feel a personal challenge to accept the challenge and its 10 disciplines and work in as many of them as I possibly can to become more connected to Jesus Christ, because he lives in me and now I want him to live through me as well. Thank you for putting this together so we as indivduals can not only watch ourselves grow spiritually but to grow and connect together spiritually.
